What To Expect When Visiting A Fastan Tanning Salon

Some of you may be first time tanners who have questions regarding indoor tanning. We want to make sure your experience is as worry free and comfortable as possible. What a lot of people don't realize until they experience it first hand is that indoor tanning is a very relaxing experience. One of the reasons people come to Fastan is for the stress relief a relaxing tanning experience brings. Now let's walk through your experience…

1. When you come in for your first appointment, a Fastan Tanning Consultant will ask you to fill out a consent form. This information will consist of your general information, as well as information regarding your skin type. This will assist our staff in choosing the optimum tanning time and schedule for you. Please be sure to answer accurately to avoid the risk of burning.
    
2. Your Fastan Tanning Consultant will then take you to a room, explain the tanning process and show you how to use the tanning bed. Our staff are well trained so if you have any questions at all about your skin, how your skin tans or any questions about the room or tanning equipment please ask. Our staff are there to ensure your experience is a positive one.
    
3. A Fastan Tanning Consultant will then make sure you are equipped with the following:
    
   1. Protective Eyewear - Your eyes have almost no protection against UV rays. Therefore, at Fastan, protective eyewear is mandatory. These can be purchased for as little as $5 00 from your Fastan tanning consultant.
       
   2. Indoor Tanning Lotion - Your skin will tan better when its moisturized and tanning lotion is specially formulated to produce a better result than tanning without it. These can be purchased once you arrive in sample or regular sizes.
       
   3. Towel - We provide a towel for your convenience and to cover up areas not normally exposed to UV light.
       
4. Once, you are comfortable with all of the information your Fastan Tanning Consultant has provided, he/she will leave you alone in the room and give you 7 minutes to remove your clothing, apply your lotion and get into the tanning bed. The time is controlled from the lobby. If you would like more time, please ask the technician to provide you with additional time. Your bed will start automatically.
    
5. If you are interested in music, we have Muzak in each room for your listening pleasure..
    
6. Some tanners tan nude, in a bathing suit or in their under garments but it all depends on your preference. We do recommend, however, that you limit exposure to areas not normally exposed to the sun (breasts, butt, etc.) If you would like an extra towel to do this, please ask.
    
7. Once you are ready, lie down in the bed, ensure you have your protective eyewear on, pull the top of the tanning bed toward you and relax. Some tanners fall asleep, some listen to music, some organize their day or evening. Once your session is over, your bed will shut off automatically.
    
8. Remember, if you would like to redo your hair, etc. please remove all of your belongings from your room and move into the bathroom. This will give the technician time to sanitize the room and ensure other customers receive their tanning appointment on time. Any questions remaining?
